Internal Matters. The timeless internal spool design of all Spinfisher® Z reels translates into simple, trouble free operation. Machined and then gold anodized, Spinfisher® Z spools resist corrosion and stand up to the elements. Penn's largest Spinfisher® Z model, the 706Z, features specialized drain holes in the rotor, a manual line pickup and three ball bearings, making it ideal for surf fishing applications.
Nerves of Steel. Spinning reels need to be strong to stand a fighting chance. Penn kept this in mind when designing the Spinfisher® Z reels. A stainless steel main shaft, supported by bronze bushings, extends all the way from the spool to the drag knob for superior strength and rigidity. Sealed stainless steel ball bearing action also helps ensure smooth retrieves.
